Introduction
Human Beings need Tribe. In his white paper from the Institute for Global Ethics titled: “Ethics and the Learned Professions” John W. Lewis wrote: “When they live in groups. They have relationships and disputes. They wonder about meaning and fate. Individually and collectively, they seek security from and understanding of hostile elements.”
In my article, “Individualism” I wrote: “Society is Community and Community needs Individuals and as such, Individuals need community. Human beings are gregarious and social animals, so to deny the Individual of community is not natural and inhuman. To deny Tribe the Individual would be equally criminal and in actual fact result in Tribe, Clan, family and community ceasing to exist.” There is an all-encompassing preoccupation amongst our law-givers, governments, religious organizations and their missionaries and ministers to create great volumes of documents in order to either control the population or at least to persuade, encourage or influence the way members of the broader community and society as a whole should live their lives. This massive collection of manuscripts I have labeled G.O.D. which is the acronym for Government Ordered Dogma. These carefully composed collections of spiritual and philosophical compendiums contain many wonderful words encouraging the human race to live a harmonious, moral, ethical life within the social constructs of the World we exist in but at what cost? We are told that Church and State should be kept separate but in truth they are intertwined and co-exist simultaneously. The State is structured on the belief of the church anyway, for example, you would be hard pressed to have a successfully functioning Christian government in a country which had the fundamental spiritual belief structure of Islam. This is why we see so many political insurgences and civil wars which are in truth a clash of ideologies. The Bible, Koran and Torah are all beautiful books of poetry and philosophy and in some respect historically factual and the wonderful words of spiritual enlightenment found within their respective passages can inspire a sense of inner peace and well-being and persuade many to live their words in their way of life. Equally so, the inspirational teaching of the Havamal; The Nine Noble Virtues of Asatru; The Ethos of The Folkway; The Wiccan Rede; The Eleven Commandments of Spirituality; Universal Ways of Beingness; The Natural Way of Equilibration; The Self-Determinate Will among many other tomes are all powerful truths. The sacred texts of Taoism; Buddhism; Sikhism; Gnosticism; Tantra; Baha’i and the Verdas of the Hindus contain meaningful and enlightening prose. When writing my philosophy of Aeonism, I wrote: “Words and languages I believe are often inadequate in describing the true nature of things; the feelings we have; the emotions we strive to control, both Positive and Negative -the Yin Yang. As a wordsmith (poet), I struggle often to find the words to get a message across. I write from the heart and find that words often fail to project my true feelings.” There is no wrong way or right way to interpret and understand the wisdom behind the words within these sacred tomes. It is only the reader’s own unique interpretation and truths that they themselves find within those texts that hold meaning for them. It is only the strong arm tactics of the governing authorities and their “my way or the highway” ideologies whilst grooming and conditioning the members of a community that force us into the mindset which makes us no better than a herd of cattle. The Principles of the Common Good are the individual truths of the individuals that have them. We have our own personal truths and our own principles that we hold dear and it has little to do with society’s morals, ethics or law of the land. If anything it has everything to do with our sacred right to FREE Thought. It is our own Truths and our own Principles that make us the people we are. Every Human Being on this planet is a unique seminal being. We all contain the Divine spark. We have within us the God and/ or Goddess that we have chosen to call our deity. We are all made of star stuff. We are ALL inter-linked. You my friends are my kindred souls my spiritual brothers and sisters. We've been the all of it you and I . We've been the up and the down of it, and the left and the right of it. The Yin & Yang of it. We've been the has and the had of it. We've been the here and the there of it, and the now and the then of it. We've been the big and small of it, the male and the female of it, the good and the bad of it. We've all been the ALL of it. We are the only person we will never lose or leave and our Soul whilst we exist are our own unless we give it away or surrender it. Everything living; everything in nature; everything in the physical world is cyclical and involves a never-ending coming and going, expansion and contraction. Everything is in a constant state of evolution. Everything is in transition. The rising and setting of the Sun; the waning and waxing of the moon. The seconds; the minutes; the hours; the days; the weeks; the months and years continue to come and go. Organic life is born, lives, grows old and dies and new birth begins the cycle anew. A perpetual, never-ceasing motion.
We are the universe.
